Fujoshi originated as a misogynistic slur directed towards women not gay men! It means you think that notion is ridiculous and obviously wrong. Fujoshi is a general term for BL fan. Get used to it. So OP, unless you you have a problem with women, then I suggest you educate yourself on why people reclaim certain words.

I do listen to gay men. It was reclaimed by the women it was meant to insult. And a lot of people who enjoy BL are in fact gay men. It feels more comfortable to call myself “gay” or “sapphic” because that feels like it represents me and my attractions, whereas when I call myself “lesbian” it makes me feel like I’m sexualizing myself and makes me worry that others are seeing it sexually too.

If you want to understand the usage of a word, particularly a word that deals with personal identity, you should ask the people who identify with the word. yep!! when i look at myself i try to measure. In my experience, people who call themselves fujoshi define it as enjoying BL media, sometimes with the addition of non-BL mlm ships as well. What you look at as two conflicting groups is really just one group. Have I ever met one?

Anyway, Fujoshi means rotten girl and is used to describe girls who fetishize the relationship between men. It has a completely different context now. Are there straight fujoshi? If you asked me to define a sports fan, I would say someone who likes yelling at the TV and probably drinks shitty beer.
